Estimate your SaaS development budget in 30 seconds
Select your features, compare in real time the cost across a senior freelancer, an agency, and Startup Express.
How this calculator works
The calculation uses a simple model: a number of development days per feature, multiplied by a market-representative day rate. The technical base (authentication, Stripe payments, admin dashboard, deployment) runs around 15 dev days for a serious SaaS. Each optional feature adds a calibrated number of days, based on real projects.
Three columns to compare three ways of doing the same thing. A senior freelancer charges between €600 and €800 per day: fast, but alone. An agency charges between €1,200 and €2,000 per day: more structured, but heavier and slower to start. Startup Express uses a pre-built boilerplate that eliminates 2 invisible days of setup and the cost of structure, which is how the fixed €7,000 price for 10 days works.
Price ranges are rounded to the nearest €500 to stay readable. Timelines are expressed in weeks (freelancer) or months (agency) because that's how those vendors plan. For more on the method and the numbers, see my article on SaaS development cost in 2026.
How to read your result
The more features you tick, the wider the gap between the three columns. That's normal: the technical base of a SaaS is largely standardized, and the cost of that base with a freelancer or an agency mostly funds time that Startup Express has already invested once, in the boilerplate.
The Startup Express package stays at €7,000 because it operates on a scoped perimeter: the 9 base features, plus the catalog options above, plus the core of your application. No structural overhead billed, no setup days, no time wasted on architecture decisions already made.
The calculator has limits. It doesn't replace a scoping conversation. If your project includes features outside this list, or specific constraints (regulation, heavy integrations, critical performance), book a call: it's the only way to get a reliable quote, and it's free.
